I wish I was rich, I’d fly first class all the time. Didn’t have to go in the HUGE check in line and now I’m in the first class lounge. This is going to be a great flight.
Off to Montreal in the morning, I really should sleep soon…
Never answer your phone on your day off
After a VERY busy Friday, Saturday, Sunday shift due to tornados and hurricanes, I was blissfully enjoying my time off until Friday again.
Then my home phone rings. It’s work. I don’t answer. Then my cell phone rings. Same. THEN my work cell rings. Now I’m concerned…
Like a fool, I listen to the message. The girl working the 7pm-7am shift tonight is sick and due to...
Waiting for the phone to ring… my youngest is on the other side of the country right now on a 10 day canoe trip. Just found out there’s been tornados in the area today and severe storms expected for the next few days. Hope he calls soon :(

I will never understand how the world keeps giving mass murders compassion. Maybe it makes them better than me, but I have no compassion for this man. He should suffer his last moments in a cell where he belongs.

This Is Awesome, You Should Watch It of the Day: San Francisco’s legendary Lombard Street was converted into a playable, life-size version of Milton Bradley’s classic children’s board game Candy Land.
From SFist:
Princess Lolly, Princess Frostine, and King Kandy will be on hand to help celebrate the board game’s 60th anniversary. According to the Examiner, “Kids will draw from a...

My vacuum just emailed me asking me to wash its filter. Uncertain right now if that’s cool or creepy. However, I did wash the filter right away!

Do you remember when you were a kid, playing Nintendo and it wouldn’t work? You take the cartridge out, blow in it and that would magically fix the problem. Every kid in America did that, but how did we all know how to fix the problem? There was no internet or message boards or FAQ’s. We just figured it out. Today’s kids are soft.
ROFL - this gave me an early morning smile.
That...
Today’s lazy day movie of the day:
“Birdman of Alcatraz” (1962)
I’ve never seen it before, enjoying it so far!
1:30am and some little drunken shit on a skateboard just came to the door looking for “Mike”. When I said, quite grumpily, “you’ve got the wrong house” did he say sorry and leave? Nope. Stood there asking questions. Do you know Mike? Do you know where he might live? Have you seen a house with a party?
ARGH. It’s 1freaking30 in the morning. Go away. ...
I sent my husband a text asking him to pick up garlic bread on the way home. He should have been home ages ago so I sent a text to ask what was keeping him. He couldn’t find gaelic bread and was still looking. Screw you, T9.
sigh…
It’s Monday and I’m not working. Due to my wonky shift schedule I’m now working weekends with week days off Kind of nice, actually.
How am I spending it? Sitting around watching ‘old’ movies. So far today I’ve watched:
Top Gun
An Officer and a Gentelman
A Chorus Line
Little Shop of Horrors
Revenge of the Nerds
Oh yeah, so far a totally brainless day.
HOLY COW. WE'RE SHOCKED. →

Reblogging to say congrats to two people that I don’t even know. As the mom of two girls and a boy I know the excitement.

Boss: …and that’s it. Does anyone have anything else?
Me: Yeah… I made a heart out of push pins on the message board TWO WEEKS ago, and nobody has thanked me yet.
Just a little taste of what it’s like to work with me.
heh! My last serious meeting, where there was lots of yelling and fingerpointing between the big-wigs went like this
Boss: ..I’ve had my limit, unless...

OMG - I laughed way too much at this one
Boyfriend leaves for Europe for 2 weeks. Despite telling her quite a few times, he learns that she doesn’t listen. Girlfriend goes nuts when he doesn’t return calls/emails.

My picture of the bongo drums below was blocked on my work PC with the following warning:

Robert Frost-The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them...

Good morning, August 15th
It’s so cold in my house this morning I had to turn on the heat. AUGUST. I awoke to it 15C (59F), walked around shivering for a few minutes and then gave in and turned on the heat. What a crappy start to a Saturday!
where abouts are you from? and if you could change...

I’m from upstate NY. If I could change where I was brought up country wise I’d still have to say the United States. Although we are spoiled and don’t appreciate how much we really have compared to anyone else I’ve learned nothing too good of any other country besides Canada, so if I had to choose it’d be Canada.
I was brought up in Canada. My dad was in the military so we moved...
It’s just past 6am I’m at my desk working and having garlic bread for breakfast. Luckily, it’s just me and the animals in the house ;)
