Unit 1 - ready to mail
Wow - I FINALLY have my three submissions ready to send in for Unit 1. That took waaay longer than it should have.
Technically, I was done ages ago but then I looked at my photo for the hyperfocal portion and realized I had water in the shot. It was suggested NOT to have water in the shot unless there were enough objects to show the focus across the board. Ugh.

Back to work in the morning - it feels like I’ve been off forever instead of just a day and a half. Work is just plain ugh lately so my mind started wandering to retirement then I realized with horror that that is 21 years away. 21 years… That’s a lifetime. 21 years ago my oldest had just turned one. I’d just met my second husband ( he’s been dead 9 years this fall). 21 years is a fucking lifetime...

While it hit 46 C with the humidity in Montreal and Toronto, it was a whopping 14 C here in Calgary that week! They’re cooling down some to the low 40’s and we finally hit 35...

It’s Canada Day. Growing up in the Nation’s Capital this was a huge day with lots of great memories - I’ve been gone from there 25 years now, and I still miss it. Today, however, is one of the worst ones yet. My husband is in Seattle, my oldest has moved away, my middle is out with friends, and my youngest is working. I’ve spent the day alone :(
And yay.. i have to work...
