Just getting in from another day in the Rockies.  The forest fire smoke was out of this world - at one point, we could hardly see the cars in front of us.  Keep in mind, I’m in Alberta and it’s British Columbia that’s 70% on fire right now… Anyway, when we got up near Lake Louise it cleared off enough to notice that there was indeed mountains around us. Leaving now for camping.  It’s 11C out and pouring rain. Last night I headed to the mountians to watch the meteor shower and it snowed.  We’re going further into the mountains to camp :( I’m brining warm jackets and my Uggs…

Going camping in the rockies tomorrow. It is presently pouring rain and 13C out. Last year, this same time, it snowed on us. And not like “oooh, look at the flakes” but “Martha! Bring me a shovel” sigh.  however, not working. Camping, campfire, drinking.  I am ok with this.

My instructor critique for my unit 1 projects came in today.  I was so nervous it took forever to listen to the .wav file! He liked them :)  got great comments on the first and third, good comments on the second with a suggestion on how to crop it. I’m not a cropper - I rarely do that.  however, I now know how to better set it up in camera so I don’t need to crop it next time. On to...

After the text message conversation with my Aunt, I pretty much felt angry and like shit. I never wanted their approval, but I just wanted them to “get” me. And of course, the first person I called in tears was my father. First thing he says after my raspy voice thats fighting with tears gets done…  Totally made me cry - your parents are amazing.
