It is not that the new crop of voters isn’t right-wing, they just didn’t think Wildrose could represent them — or worse, worried they might embarrass them.
The young too embarrassed? All the younger voters that I know identified the Wildrose as a scary party that they wanted nothing to do with very early on. Though my riding was one of two won by Wildrose in Calgary, Heather Forsyth has been very good to us over the years as a PC and may she remain so as a Wildrose member.
